  • Comments Thread For: Lamont Peterson: Never Felt Like I Was Done After Spence Loss

Lamont Peterson's lopsided loss to Errol Spence Jr. necessitated a long rest for the former junior welterweight champion. It still didn't demoralize him. Peterson knew he would return to a boxing ring, even after Spence beat him up in their IBF welterweight title fight 14 months ago at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. That time will come Sunday night, when Peterson will face Russia's Sergey Lipinets in a 12-round welterweight fight FS1 will televise from Oxon Hill, Maryland.

It's funny with Peterson his record should be much better since he's shown he can stick an move a little but he decides to stay an trade with people which gets him in trouble. It's to late for him to change his style anyways good luck to him tonight

imo he did enough to at least draw against danny garcia and he was the better fighter on the night he just waited too long to open up

Waited too long vs Bradley as well and finally got into the fight some what late in the fight. Now, that fight was a clear win for Bradley but just speaking on the problem with Peterson in his career. Against Khan he started late as well but ended up getting the decision (bad decision IMO). Peterson has had a good career all things considered but easy to see why he was never able to take the next step.
