21-year old Chechen native Khasan Baysangurov (17-0, 7 KOs), who represents Russia as a pro, is on a verge of his first career title shot. Press outlets had him fighting once-defeated WBA regular middleweight beltholder Rob Brant on February 15 in the States. The fight is confirmed by the ESPN to be a headliner of their event, which takes place in Brant's native states of Minnesota, precisely at the Grand Casino in Hickney.

Still haven't worked out if Khasan and Kheusen are related to each other and whether both are related to Zaurbek. It's not been mentioned anywhere that I can find though they all live in the same relatively small region of Chechnya and Khasen and Kheusen were born in the same town.

Either way, Khasan is for my money not even remotely ready for Brant, nor, probably ever will be. Puzzled to see how he even got this shot TBH but the WBA will WBA I guess.

Got a gallery and fight footage on his promoters site:

Khasan and Khuseyn are native brothers. Their father/trainer Uvais is uncle/trainer for Zaurbek and Salambek, this both are natives too.
