  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: Deontay Wilder Not a PPV Star; Talks With His Team Better

Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn, promoter of IBF, WBO, WBA, IBO heavyweight champion, remains optimistic that a unification matchup with Deontay Wilder will take place on April 13 at Wembley Stadium in London. One obstacle that can get in the way is if Wilder decided to make another voluntary defense of his WBC title and rematches Tyson Fury following their controversial draw two weeks ago.

A PPV star can sell PPV fighting anyone. Wilder can't. He needs a bigger draw opposite him to sell.

Hearn should be targeting the fighter that won, Fury. Wilder shouldn't be rewarded for a robbery. He shouldn't have a title, he should be down the order trying to earn a shot at a title.

Hearn is such a good manipulator it's almost funny,he says AJ usually does around 10 million us dollars at the gate knowing damn well that's about 7 million pounds in euros,he plays on words and semantics and the idiots eat it up,he scared as hell of a wilder fury rematch and the numbers it might do,he even trying to manipulate fury talking about he should ask for more, but wilder should just take what he gives right?the guy is hilarious

I would like Hearn for once to be quiet. Just to get this over the line. Stop insulting people and crushing their egos because right now Wilder and especially Fury are in a good place. Just play nice until Wilder signs then we can talk about how much Baby oil we will massage on to AJ so Wilder’s right hand malfunctions.

You trying to compare Wilders position with Fury to Joshua and Wilder?

                Good words from Hearn.

Let's hope Wilder grows a pair and forces the fight against Shelly and Haymons wishes.

Ok Hearn, now tell everyone how British ppv is $25 a pop and American is $75, don't just talk about how many ppv units. Fast Eddie and his silver tongue..
