  • Comments Thread For: Hearn Reacts To Critics: Miller vs. Adamek is NO Mismatch!

There has been a heavy wave of criticism over the recently finalized scrap between Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller and former two-division world champion Tomasz Adamek. The contest will be a part of promoter Eddie Hearn's upcoming Matchroom USA card, which takes place on October 6th in Chicago.

Wow Hearn really trying to sell this
    Is he getting desperate ?
Is the card not selling well ?

Im okay with Hearn talking like this, because it’s his job as a promoter. But Miller should be ashamed of himself. Just call it what it is. There are four levels in professional boxing: champion, contender, prospect, and journeyman. Adamek is no contender. If the fighters aren’t in the same class it’s either a step up or mismatch. Adamek is no step up

He either thinks everyone is stupid, or he just doesn't care that they know he's full of sht.

This IS a dangerous mismatch in that you have a former light heavyweight whose best days are almost a decade old, against a much younger nearly 300 pound natural heavyweight with a PED cloud over his head.

Adamek typically would weight in about 220. If that's not a gross mismatch then Tyson Fury vs Sefer Seferi was the FOTY.

It's a mismatch. Adamek will get destroyed.

But Hearn is right that it's not a gross mismatch. This is a typical stay busy fight. Every day in boxing there are wayyyyyy bigger mismatches than boxrec 7 vs. boxrec 15. And while many try to dismiss boxrec rankings, they are a great way for people in the industry to see who has really been tested and proven themselves.

The media ****ting on this fight need to get a life. This fight makes a ton of business sense, which is why it's happening.

Got to be the sleaziest promoter there is short of Don King. The only person that doesn't think it's a mismatch is him.. But he's just trying to sell

Well, lucky for Adamek, Miller is the most feather fisted 300 pound man I have ever seen.
Miller does move well for his size, but he isn’t an explosive puncher by any means.
