Three Bantamweight World Champions, Ryan Burnett (WBA), Manny Rodriguez (IBF) and Zolani Tete (WBO), are the first confirmed fighters for the second season of the World Boxing Super Series. "After a fantastic first season with Super Middleweight and Cruiserweight, we have decided that bigger is better. So we are going out with three divisions in our second season," said Comosa's Chief Boxing Officer, Kalle Sauerland.

Any guesses on what the 3rd division is? Bantamweight confirmed, 140lbs is extremely likely, so what is the other one?

That leaves us with 175 or Cruiserweights second season(Which would also be intriguing if the winner moves up).
Not sure about 175. Kovalev is signed exclusively to HBO, isn't he? We know how Adonis feels about fighting competition, so he's out, too.

They say Inoue is close to entering, Nery wants in. WBC is vacant, Sanpattan and Oubaali are fighting for it next month, hopefully the winner. Rigondeaux was invited but turned it down. Itll have 8 fighters.

They need eight to get the show on the road.

Nery is suspended indefinitely by the WBC, if the winner of Tassana Sanpattan vs. Nordine Oubaali join, implicating the WBC world title that complicates matters but in theory Nery can still compete for the Mohammed Ali trophy haha! that cheat soils this tournament ; I don't even think hes ranked by the IBF,WBA or WBO, after multiple violations.

Think the Bantamweight tournament will be the best this year, any combination of those 3 confirmed so far will likely be in the final.
