On April 7th, former multi-division world champion Jhonny Gonzalez will return to the ring against Dominican contender Marlyn "Maravilla" Cabrera. Gonzalez is seeking this year the opportunity to dispute for a world title. It has been announced by way of a statement from his promoter, that Gonzalez will face Cabrera, and the contest will be held at the Convention Center of the Hotel Azul in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo.

He needs to go and fight Cristian Mijares, then the winner can take on Vargas or Roman after he loses to Berchelt
