Kalle Sauerland has poured water over the idea of rearranging the World Boxing Super Series super-middleweight tournament final. The Comosa AG chief boxing officer was ringside on Saturday to see George Groves add the lightly-regarded IBO trinket to his Super WBA world title at Manchester Arena with a unanimous points victory over Chris Eubank Jr.

Agree completely this is a tough sport and you expect to pick up injuries from time to time. I wasn't a big fan of Groves but he has worked hard and proven himself so it would be wrong to exclude him from the final.

On another note it makes you realise just how tough Froch was, took a major beating in the first fight with Groves and still came on strong!

you can recover pretty quickly from a dislocation. Although, Im sure if it came down to it theyd rearrange it. Dont really have much choice otherwise its the tournament ruined if the two best fighters arent in the final.

Shouldn't be a massive problem.. only thing I'm worried about is the fact groves will still need to heal/rest, then start camp again in said time frame. odds are now against him but he should rise to the occasion

Groves definitely deserved the right to take part in the final. I hope doctors and Sauerland will do their best.
