  • Comments Thread For: Green: Mundine's Race Card Remarks on Jeff Horn Are Reckless

Danny Green is shaking his head at his bitter rival Anthony Mundine - after the former world champion made what many felt were "race card" comments about WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn. Last week, Mundine made some very controversial comments when he complained that Horn was getting so much media attention in Australia because of his "white" skin color.

"my father told me who's land this was"
so that means yall gonna give it back?
Anthony Mundine's comments were tru & exact. funny how a white australian would use the term "race card" in "australia". looks like he took a page out of the europeon "american" playbook. they use that ****** ass term here in the united snakes as well when trying to make points as well when trying yo make points of no depth.

Australians don't understand racism, it's something that was accepted in this country for years, and now we know it's wrong but most are unclear as to what racism is exactly. If Mundine says anything about race, he's branded a racist. He claims the media give him a raw deal because he's Aboriginal, and he's called a racist. He questions Daniel Geale's claim to be Aboriginal and he's called a racist. Who is Mundine racist against? white people apparently, even though white people have never suffered racism, and there's not one white person who Mundine made feel inferior because they were white. The press and majority of the public are adamant Mundine's a racist. Danny Green's a classic example: He says if he claimed Mundine got publicity only because of skin colour, he'd be branded a racist. Why, you're claiming he gets preferential treatment, there's no victim, so no racism. Any comment made about race in Australia that can be considered controversial is called racist. Jeff Horn has been made a National hero on the back of his gift decision over aging Pacquiao, fair enough and Daniel Geale received similar amounts of good press after the Sturm win. When Sam Soliman beat Sturm for the IBF belt, hardly a ripple from the press. When Sakio Bika won the WBC supermid belt, not one article, and limited press for Garry St Clair and Billy Dib when he won the IBF featherweight belts. There is some truth to Mundine's words, he does get a raw deal from the press, but credit to team Horn who promote him well. Danny Green doesn't know it but by accusing Mundine of playing the race card, he too is playing the race card to avoid the topic.
