  • Comments Thread For: Avni Yildirim vs. Derek Edwards on March 3rd in Germany

At the Straubinger Exhibition and Event GmbH in Lower Bavaria, Germany, well known super middleweight Avni Yildirim (16-1) won by knockout over Attila Korda (13-7) after a one-sided fight. Turkish fighter, Yildirim, started ambitious and willing and used his jabs effectively. He controlled the bout from the first minute until the first round KO. Yildirim was fresh and strong during the bout. Mr Robot seems enthusiastic for his return to the top level again.

I thought he would retire after the Eubank fight

He had no business to be in the tournament, wasn't a smart move. Like to see if he can come back strong and improve. If he can't beat Edwards he's got problems

Scaheffer tried hard to get players for his tournament, and Yıldırım had the Inter WBC strap...same thing like Skoglund''s lower end WBA strap. Look what happened to Skoglund, if he's never the same again...then it could be said he had no "business" there, because surely Yıldırım made cash. The problem was Yıldırım's general style against a real lion. Plus Yıldırım''s manager is an annoying ass egotistical kat playing hyper manager and coach. His coaching is a garbage.

He just had the wrong opponent. But hey we're too quick to write off prospect in boxing. I for one like his style, he usually has fun fights. Looking forward to seeing him come back and rebuild.

            Totally disagree regarding Yildrims coach.

His coach was spot on regarding how to fight Eubank and what not to do, Yildrim just didn't listen to him.

This shows his coach telling him not to do something, which Yildrim did and got knocked out by

I like how his manager calls himself "famous" in his own press release.

Lol yea Eubank was tailor made to beat a guy with his style, just too fast for him. Yea he's really gotta consider ditching that guy, he's clearly not a good trainer or a smart manager. Lol The guys a absolute nutcase

Yea man I'm with you, love his style he just needs to clean up some things and fight a little smarter.. Just a tiny bit of defense would help him. Hope he learned from the Eubank fight, still has a potential and hope he didn't lose to much confidence

Yıldırım just pimps Turkish boxers. He's garbage. Yıldırım isn't that good. Selçuk Aydın was a better boxer

Yildrim and his team are like a comedy skit every time you see them, perhaps the 'Two Stooges'. Yildrim's career won't go anywhere if that grade A ass whooping he received from Eubanks Jr is any indication.

I keep saying, as they have a Special Olympics, so to do they need 'Special' divisions in boxing so people like Yildrim can compete, both physically and intellectually with the other fighters.

Anyway, I hope he enjoyed them t*rkish delights that Eubanks gave him in the ring.
