  • Comments Thread For: Jackson: Jacobs Was a Cruiserweight, Had an 'Unfair Advantage'

UNIONDALE, New York – Daniel Jacobs’ weight gain following an official weigh-in became an issue again after his victory over Luis Arias. John David Jackson, Arias’ trainer, took exception following Jacobs’ unanimous-decision victory Saturday night to what he called an “unfair advantage” for the former WBA middleweight champion. Jackson claimed Jacobs was a cruiserweight when he entered the ring for their 12-round fight at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, at least 10 pounds heavier than Arias.

Not this again! As long as he made weight on Friday, it's all good. If his opponents know he does That, they should do the same.

what's bum david Jackson bîtching about.. he made the required 160 lbs limit..after then you can put on as much weight as you want..even if Jacobs weighed in on fight night @ 170 or less..he'd still whoop that bum ass arias..cuz simply Jacobs is a level above arias in boxing ability..jdj should accept his fighter's loss like a good coach is suppose to and go back to the drawing board..before arias dumps him for running his mouth alot like kovalev did to him..then the traitor that he is start offering to train future opponents of his former fighters

180-185 is pure speculation on Jackson's part. No way to tell.
