Janer Gonzalez made Radzhab Butaev work for every bit of his victory in their eight-round welterweight fight Friday night. The busier Butaev out-pointed Gonzalez, but had to be wary of Gonzalez's power on his way to winning a unanimous decision (80-72, 79-73, 77-75). Russia's Butaev used his hand speed to pot shot Colombia's Gonzalez and moved out of harm's way most of the time before Gonzalez could connect with counter shots in a largely unremarkable bout.
