    On Friday, Sept. 15, one day before the highly anticipated battle for middleweight supremacy between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady "GGG" Golovkin, WBA Interim Featherweight Champion Claudio Marrero (22-1, 16 KOs) will make the first defense of his title against Jesus Rojas (25-1-2, 18 KOs) in the 12-round main event of Golden Boy Boxing on ESPN at the MGM Grand Marquee Ballroom in Las Vegas. The ESPN3 livestream of the undercard bouts begins at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT, followed by the main event at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT on ESPN Deportes and streaming live on ESPN3 and on ESPN2 at 1:15 a.m. ET/10:15 p.m. PT.

    Finally some good stuff from golden boy on espn their past cards weren't that good this is a great fight

      This is my take when it comes to this fight...if Marrero keeps his range and boxes all night he can't lose. The Cuellar fight should have prepared him for a fight like this. Both Cuellar and Rojas are relentless and just keep coming. Marrero should not at any time stay in the pocket and trade with Rojas (big mistake). Marrero has all the adavantages, speed, ring generalship, reach, height and age...the power is debatable. So, Marrero should win it if he stays away from making it a firefight which is what Rojas will try to do.

          That's a spot on breakdown of this fight. The big question for me is whether Marrero can keep Rojas off of him for 12 rounds. That's what makes this one appealing, even if Marrero takes over early, Rojas is still dangerous enough to take him out late.
