  • Comments Thread For: Mauricio Herrera, Jesus Soto-Karass - What's Next For Both?

Last Friday night from the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California, Mauricio Herrera and Jesus Soto-Karass battled over ten entertaining rounds. It was a fight that was competitive throughout and heated up in the late stages. A late rally by Soto-Karass just fell short as he lost by the scores of 95-95 and 96-94 on two cards.

Herrera had moments of really good defense, but I'm not sure that'll carry to better fighters. He looked better than in his last fight.

Soto Karras, some more solid fights. He's average at best but he's an entertaining gatekeeper and always brings the fight and has given top/good fighters problems throughoht. Rocked Thurman, very unlucky to get a draw with Mike Jones, beat Berto, the list goes on.

Herrera, who cares? Crap fighter always has been always will be and watching his fights is like watching paint dry. Can't crack an egg calls himself the "Maestro" despite being completely average skillwise. Can't beat anyone convincingly yet always claims "robbery" despite the fact he get's gifted the benefit of the doubt against the Soto Karass and Mikey Dallas Jr's of the world. I'd rather see him retire.

Herrera, completely devoid of skill, schooled a prime Danny Garcia a few years back....

            Is English your first language?

Since when does "average skill" mean "devoid of skill?"

And Herrera didn't "school" anyone. Never has "schooled" anyone.

Can't even convincingly beat the likes of Mikey Dallas, Soto Karrass, Pablo Cesar Cano and Karim ****ing Mayfield who aren't even Top 10 level guys.

Frankie Gomez whooping his ass in first gear is what you call a "schooling"

At this point in his career and the end is in sight Soto class is the epitome of what a journeyman is how long he continues just depends upon how long he wants to continue Herrera does have some upside but against the elite I do not think he will be successful...

They are both in the twilight of their careers, but that was a great fight and I would love to see them do it again
