The purse bid for the WBA "regular" middleweight title rematch between Ryota Murata of Japan and Hassan N'Dam of France has been scheduled for July 7, according to an order from the World Boxing Association. The purse bid will be carried out because the two parties could not agree to make their rematch, which was ordered last month after the controversial result of their first fight, the WBA said.

Hmmm, does this mean Murata isn't facing Billy Joe Saunders Sept. 16? Maybe this indicates Lemieux and Saunders is happening after all. That'd be pretty awesome.

It's quite possible. Saunders is now in training with Ingle for something and Lemieux's the guy who's been making noises most recently. The NDNJ - Murata rematch has been rumoured ever since the week of the debacle so it's hardly likely BJS was expecting to fight Ryota...

It's all a bit speculative, but here's hoping.

Danny Jacobs was the WBA "regular" champion. That **** should have disappeared after the Golovkin fight.

But nooooo....they had to invent some BS about getting rid of the interim title and letting N'Dam vs Murata be for the suddenly revived "regular" championship. Bringing it right back from extinction.

These guys weren't serious about getting rid of it.
