Rotherham's Lee Appleyard has been handed a huge opportunity, as he will face Sean Dodd on away ground for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title at the Echo Arena on Saturday. There's over 50 countries in the Commonwealth, but yet again 2 mediocre British boxers get to fight for the vacant title. 135Lb has some great talent such as George Kambosos, Xolisani Ndongeni, Rafael Mensah & Tony Luis who surely deserve a title shot more then these 2. The Commonwealth title should be one of the most valued championships, but due to light matchmaking is fast becoming undervalued. "Come on CBC please make this belt prestigious again"!

I was thinking how awesome it would be to have a guy named "Appleyard" as a world champion.

"Dude, you gonna watch the Appleyard fight this weekend?"
        "Fuk yea!"
