  • Comments Thread For: Groves vs. Chudinov To Land on Brook-Spence Undercard?

According to promotional company Patriot, which handles Fedor Chudinov, their boxer signed a contract to face George Groves - for the vacant WBA super middleweight title - on the date of May 27 in the UK. Fedor's planned interim-fight has been canceled. Patriot indicates the fight will take place on the undercard to the Kell Brook vs. Errol Spence showdown, which takes place at Bramall Lane in Sheffield. That event has already sold 20,000 tickets, according to lead promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport.

That makes a lot of sense. Good co-main event for that fight

Good news if true. Chudinov ain't some master boxer but he's well schooled, competent and should be an unbeaten champ. Groves has been in there with the current best at 168 and given a good account of himself. Nice fight. Now, my only problem is talking Ms Koba into letting me go to Bramhall Lane on the same week the baby's due...

That would definitely be a great fight to have before the main event. If Groves looks good and gets the belt it would set up some huge domestic unification fights with Degale and Callum Smith if he beats Dirrell.

Agreed, this would make for great undercard support to the main event.
