  • Comments Thread For: Anthony Ogogo Registered Blind After Fracturing Eye Socket

Anthony Ogogo still has aspirations of becoming a world champion despite being registered blind. The London 2012 Olympic bronze medallist was advised by several eye specialists to hang up his boxing gloves in the wake of fracturing his left eye socket. But the 27-year-old, who suffered the injury on the same night as his first defeat last October at the hands of Craig Cunningham, is keen to make a return to the squared circle and fulfil some of the potential he carried into the paid ranks after the Olympics five years ago.

This guy is almost as stupid as Nick Blackwell. Accept your defeat and listen to the experts you moron, if you couldn't get it done when you had better health its going to be even more difficult now. Go model for underwear brands this is not for you.

Oh! I almost forgot.....'I'm legally blind!'.

Dude came off as a major prick in his interview. Talks **** about his opponent's fans while he gets TKO'd by a guy with a 21% KO ratio AFTER the fight.

It's a shame, but he needs to call it a day if it's that bad.
You don't mess around with stuff like your eye sight.

If you can be registered blind & get a boxing license the problem isn't even the fighter being delusional at that point.

Is this guy one of the most uneventful former olympic medalists in recent times?

Please. Amir Khan lives on a different plane of delusion. Don't compare this can to a true master of the craft.

I feel bad for him. He definitely should think of his health.

If Dominic Ingle didn't stop the Golovkin-Brook fight, Brook would've been probably worse off than this guy. Very surprising that Brook and Ingle were talking as if Brook did damage to Golovkin. It definitely was the other way around and Brook should thank his lucky stars that the fight was stopped and that he didn't lose his eye.
