Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach was not satisfied with Saturday's performance by Manny Pacquiao. The Filipino star returned for the first time since his April trilogy win over Timothy Bradley, and he captured the WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas with a dominating twelve round unanimous decision at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Honestly..Manny was lucky Vargas was barely missing when he lunged in reckless at times head first...Manny clearly won but he was looking like a ko waiting to happen at times

Manny isn't reckless anymore. Since the Marquez KO, he's fought smarter though more conservative. No shame in it and it's understandable.

            That old Pac is gone.

Vargas can't hurt Manny. Manny would've done some serious damage if he wanted to, but he wanted to be careful.

Why take unnecessary risk when you know the guy can't really hurt you, and you're winning the fight? Manny would've taken more risks if he was losing the fight. It's not smart to take unnecessary risks, when you're winning the fight. JMM putting him to sleep taught him to be more careful and be more careful in the ring.

He's over 35 - KO's are a foreign language to those on the downside.

Yea, Manny often strikes a guy and drifts away laterally, or comes in at an angle, both making him hard to counter. The only time he really did that was the first half of the 12th and he really stupified Vargas when he did it. In the rest of the fight he was either getting countered or moving straight back. I was cringing at that shyt. Manny was back to being as careless as he was in Marquez 4. WTF...
