The referee was confused and asked him multiple times if he wants to continue, Cuenca bought a lot of time and still clearly didnt want to get up. The reason is simple, he was getting his butt kicked and after Troya landed uppercut Cuenca probably "felt a pop in the eye" and quit.

I liked how Troy was measuring the distance and keeping Cuenca at range, all the running Cuenca could do was doing him absolutely no good I said Cuenca would face this problem when he stepped up against someone with a good jab.

Weigh in weight and fight night weight are in no way proportional. However it was apparent that Cuenca wasn't going to have much success against a stronger come forward fighter. Eduardo earned the win but I don't think he's elite just yet, weakest of all the champions.
