WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith Thurman (26-0, 22KOs) found himself unexpectedly entertained on Saturday night, when Floyd Mayweather Jr. dominated Andre Berto over twelve rounds at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Thurman was ringside, watching the fight play out and supporting his friend, Berto.

The event had issues from the start, because Berto was not a very popular choice. The backlash from fans was evident when Berto, a3-3 record in his last six fights and 34-1 underdog for most of the promotion, was announced as the opponent late last month.

Thurman is a jealous guy to manny pacquiao what ever he do to his boxing career his not at pacquiao's level. that's why floyd mayweather does not want to fight him because he has no name in boxing its hard to sell him his a one way fighter all opponent of his 27 fight are all laborers not a boxer.

Thurman speaking the truth as usual. It was more entertaining because Berto didn't fight like a pansy and Floyd didn't feel the risk of a Manny Pacquiao attack.

Floyd threw a lot of punches against Berto, he opened up more because Berto was no threat to him. Even Paulie Malignaggi said Berto was telegraphing his attack and was not adding feints or mixing up his punch selection, Pacquiao does that and throws lots of feints and sets traps and varies his punch speed, power and selection which is why Floyd was more cautious and did more clinching.

Floyd would fight Keith Thurman similar to how he fought Pacquiao and Maidana in the rematch, move move move touch, clinch with one arm free hit hit hit,break, and move move touch touch move, clinch, look up at clock to see when round over and move.

I actually think Floyds easiest fight would be Gennady Golovkin, and no I am not hating, Golovkin has a punchers chance but his so slow and plodding the Floyd has speed like crazy in the Berto fight he was moving fast, GGG wouldn't touch him. That is why I believe Floyd should fight GGG for his 50th fight win the middleweight title and hang it up so nobody can say crap.

It would have been nice if he decided to open up and hold less when he fought Pacquiao to give the fans a good show and help boxing. Imagine that Floyd fighting Pacquio the way he did Berto throwing combos and not clinching as often? That would have been interesting to see.

Thurman is spot on. #49 was Definitely more entertaining than #48 because Berto pressed Floyd (he couldn't catch him but he pressed the action). That was what everyone expected Pacman to do; but he never did. Roach talked a great pre-fight plan about cutting off the ring, setting traps, and pounding Floyd on the ropes but None that ever materialized in the ring.

Personally; I would have preferred Kell Brook or Danny Garcia to have been his opponent on Saturday....
