  • Comments Thread For: Danny Green Sees Late Replacement Bolonti as Better Foe

Veteran Danny Green says he's returning to the boxing ring older and wiser as he lines up for his first bout in almost three years.

The 42-year-old will take on Argentina's Roberto "The Beast" Bolonti on Wednesday night, at Hisense Arena - the same venue where he had his last fight back in 2012.

Green dismisses talk that it's a comeback because he says he never retired after that win over Shane Cameron, but with an eye on a rematch with old foe Anthony Mundine next year, it's a case of now or never.

bolonti should learn from prieto how to represent your country when you fight abroad, and prieto isn't even argentinian, he is from paraguay.

            Green is a joke.

Like he would say anything different than the next replacement is a tougher challenge.

Green rarely fights anyone that has not had almost all the risk negotiated out of it, and when/if he does he usually loses; Mundine, Tarver, Wlodarcyzk.

Best fight I ever saw Green in was when Tarver Mundine, and Wlodarcyzk smacked him so hard he looked dazed, confused, and disabled.

In his prime at 168, Green was a fun fighter to watch. Crude, a bit limited, but a killer none the less. I so wanted to see Green fight Lacy before Calzaghe, that would've been a fun fight.

Bolonti is a professional punching bag/sparring partner for anyone with a pulse, even an old fart like Green
