    It may have taken barely a minute for Joseph Parker to topple Bowie Tupou in Invercargill recently, but the ensuing hype surrounding the rising star of New Zealand boxing is somewhat longer in the making.

    The 23-year-old combines being a formidable force in the ring with being humble and mild-mannered away from it - a habit that's stuck since a young age and one that he won't be shaking off any time soon.

    The world needs to take notice of this bloke, top fighter and he appears to be a top bloke. Not sure who the f*** would accused his last opponent of taking a dive, but in any case the Meehan fight is a serious challenge, good luck to him.

      I think the only question here is whether or not Parker can finish Meehan in the very first round. I'm high on Parker, I think he has a lot of potential.

        This going to be a good fight.Meehan is rated 29 by boxing rec.
        He is good and durable fighter.This fight could go 12 rounds.
        Parker should win.He is too fast for Meehan.

          Ref needs to step in fast and stop this fight if Meehan is taking damage.

          Joseph's speed is ridiculous and you don't wanna see a 45 year old man trapped in the corner.

              It has been confirmed Hall famer and three times World champion
              Jeff Fenech mention that Joseph Parker has fastest hand speed he
              Has ever seen on a heavyweight.There is fast and then there is last.
              This boy is too damn fast.He has real power in both hands.
              He is thunder from down under.He is going to shock and rock the world.
              In 2016 he will invade America with his tour of destruction.
