For a few weeks, there was significant chatter about a potential super middleweight fight between Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) and Carl "The Cobra" Froch (33-2, 24KOs).

Golovkin, who holds the WBA/IBO titles at middleweight, was willing to move up to 168-pounds to make the fight. He was also willing to give Froch the home field advantage by travel over the UK.

According to Golovkin's promoter, Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions, there is no longer any communication being received from Froch's team.

Can't blame Golovkin for this but some of you prob will and say fight Andre Ward. Ward can barely sell out Oracle Arena. If they do fight, GGG deserves the lion's share. Just put it this way Ward hasn't fought in 2 yrs and his next fight is on BET that's all I gotta say. Furthermore, if Cotto is not a true middle why does he have one of the most treasured belts. WBC is corrupt as hell. GGG is Cotto's mando but they will pay him step aside money for Canelo/Cotto which is prob a 50/50 fight.

Maybe Froch likely is going to retire or he would fight once more against DeGale. Gennady is too dangerous.

kovalev took ggg's legacy fight bc ggg always said "no no no, miguel cotto" when they mentioned andre ward lol...ggg really robs us of 2 great fights..ward has stones he'd take on ggg at 168 and kovalev at 175...but thanks to the "he doesnt have to fight him he can barely sell tickets" fans...we'll get to see GGG ducking froch in order to fight toreano johnson...froch has no reason not to take this fight..he's fought huge punchers..hbo has a reason..they cant sell froch to us like they can sell GGG..and froch is a threat

u can blame golovkin the ppl that want to fight him are not quiet about it..and he and his team are.. when ward said "3 tune ups" the golovkin fans had the biggest gulp of fresh air ever known to man...he only said it to say "screw ggg" i'll got up to 175 and beat a more proven kovalev...ggg wont have a big fight until canelo fightin him 2 years from now..and it is all his fault imo
