Eastern Europe was a busy fight scene this past Saturday. Club shows, which were held in Russia and Poland, featured some formerly rated fighters and rising prospects.

In Inowroclaw, Poland, super welterweight Damian Jonak has further increased his almost perfect record by beating Belgian import Ayoub Nefzi (23-5-1) with a unanimous decision over ten rounds. Nefzi was cut after an accidental headbutt in round one, and then cuts were opened twice more on him during the fight as Jonak was using his head quite dangerously. The Polish fighter was a better boxer too, and in round four he dropped Nefzi with a solid right hook. Scores of the fight were: 99-91, 97-92, and 97-93 – all for Jonak.
