The Event of the Century didn’t produce much of a fight, but further confirmed Floyd Mayweather’s presence as an all-time great. The unbeaten welterweight king delivered a virtuoso performance in scoring a decision over Manny Pacquiao in their long awaited pound-for-pound showdown Saturday evening at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Scores were 118-110 and 116-112 (twice) in a bout that – objectively speaking – played out as most suspected, even if fans optimistically hoped for something more.

Many figured Pacquiao's best shot at beating Mayweather was to attack him early, throw a large volume of punches and make sure to keep the fight in close quarters. That never came close to happen for any sustained period, with Pacquiao only enjoying pockets of success on the night. [Click Here To Read More]

Funny how at least 4 of the pictures show Pac using his right hand just fine, yet he said this was a factor...oh that's right he "won"-lmao!

Easiest fight of Floyd's career in a long time.

The fight of the century,it was not.No surprise.Mayweather did his usual stuff to win.But I'm disappointed in the effort of Pacquaio.Where was the so-called secret plan that had him cutting off the ring and throwing punches. He just chased May around like a mummy.Definitely a fight that will only be remembered for the obscene amount of money made for such a short time.

Both great fighters, Floyd just proved he's better and many of us knew that.

No one should be surprised that Pacquiao didn't throw a lot of punches. He never does against boxers like he does against brawlers. Against Marquez, Bradley and even Algeri he didn't come in from different angles and throw a lot of punches because they are not stationary. That's the bottom line. When he fought Cotto and Cotto started moving away Pacquiao had a hard time finding him though it was to late for Cotto. Against Margarito and De La Hoya neither fighter moved well so Pacquiao was able to move to different angles and find the target almost like a punching bag to be honest. Now u put him up against Mayweather and his output will take a bigger dip because Mayweather makes his opponents reset over and over again and keeps them off balance. The jab also played a huge part. Roach and Pacquiao didn't have an answer for it cuz they didn't expect it that much. But if Roach would hav done his homework correctly he would hav noticed that against smaller opponents Mayweather uses the jab a lot more. Pacquiao's legs were fine and it's funny that this whole time the issue was Mayweather's legs. It was Mayweather that caused Pacquiao's low output and movement.
