I don't know why anyone has a problem with this fight. Canelo tried to fight Cotto but he acted like a beyotch and turned that down so they scrambled and set him up with a stay active fight (Non-PPV). Canelo is only 24 and he's been fighting more top fighters then any of the young fighters out there today. Compare his level of competition to Thurman, Broner, ect both guys who are older. Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara that's his last 4 fights and his 5th should of been Cotto. I got no problem with him taking a quick stay busy fight with Kirkland. It's not like Kirkland is either a unknown or a bum. His only knock is the same for Andre Ward. They have been beefing with their promoters and managers so they haven't been active. He always comes to fight and is exciting. Has only 1 loss. If he fights once last year he is on every organizations top 5 ranking.

Clottey isn't televised? Goddammit. I've been waiting forever to see his comeback and we won't get to see it.

At least this hopefully means Golden Boy signed Clottey and we get to see more of him in the future.
