Nery 'Pantera' Saguilan is best known for his masked presence, but needed somewhere to hide his face after missing weight for Saturday's bout with Marcos Villasana Jr. The show will still go on in Tlalnepantla, México, as Villasana's team agreed to move forward with the fight despite his opponent not able to make the contracted weight or the modified agreed-upon catchweight.
Saguilan tipped the scales at a beefy 143.75 lbs. Even with the prescribed two hours to make weight, the fringe yet always entertaining contender still couldn't down beyond 143 lbs., a full pound over the 142 lb. catchweight for the bout.
