  • Comments Thread For: Nacho Hopes Vegas Judges Don't Screw Over Pacquiao

Hall of Fame trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain is hoping the judges in Las Vegas calls things properly on May 2nd, when welterweight champions Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao collide in a pay-per-view blockbuster from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Nacho, and his prized pupil Juan Manuel Marquez, have long accused the Vegas judges of robbing them in the first three meetings with Pacquiao. In the fourth meeting in 2012, Marquez took matters into his own hands by knocking Pacquiao out in the sixth round.

I think they would if they want to live after May 2nd. This is one of the biggest fights of the century. The same goes for the ref. So much pressure on whoever is called to ref too.

We don't need to worry about the judges. Floyd has to fight the absolute worst fight of his life for this fight to be close.

There won't be any screwing over because Pacquiao isn't going to win.

This article, along with the comments made, are very biased. Nacho in one article states that he favors Floyd, then a week later he issues another statement in another article stating that he favors Manny.

Now, he's suggesting that the judging isn't going to be fair. This is the most acute form of dementia and it is prevalent among those who have suffered perceived bad decisions at the hands of judges. So, now all the judges are biased in one direction or another.

It isn't even being considered that the judging\refereeing will be under the microscope like never before for this fight. And if there were faults with other fights, it is very unlikely that those same faults will become manifest in this fight while 4+ million people throughout the world watches.

Is it that unanimous that Floyd is going to get his hat handed to him? Or is it wishful thinking (out loud) that the only way Floyd can win is to have the judges sway the cards. This is getting absurd!!!!

Stop the BS!!! We finally got the fight we wanted, now let's let it play out and see what happens first, before we start interjecting fault and or excuses.

Not only the judges but the referee too.
Pacquiao could be facing 5 men on May 2nd, Mayweather, the Ref and the 3 Judges.

Pacquiao is going to have to dominate and wins rounds clearly to get the right result.
