  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: I'm Confident Frampton-Quigg Will Happen

Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg appear to be on-course for a massive British showdown this summer. IBF super bantamweight champion, Carl Frampton (20-0 14 KOs) and WBA “Regular” holder Scott Quigg (30-0-2, 22 KOs) are generally accepted as being amongst the best in the 122lbs weight class, alongside fellow titlists Guillermo Rigandeaux and Leo Santa Cruz. Whilst too often fights amongst the best in a division fail to materialise – or happen too late – Quigg’s promoter Eddie Hearn is confident the fight will take place.

Judging by their comments at the weekend, Frampton and McGuigan are not going to accept a 50/50 split

Nor should they really. Frampton has the legitimate world title and has the bigger fanbase. Does Quigg even draw a crowd in Manchester on his own? No...he's mostly on undercards.

Plus Eddie Hearn agreed a few years ago when he had Frampton...

Cool. Frees Frampton up for Rigo. A much better fight.

I'm sure they'll work a deal out. Hearn and Quigg just need to swallow their pride a little.

Fair play to Eddie if he pushes it through. Even he knows his man is going to lose.

Quigg sells tickets for his fight from a chipshop in Bury, 2 Million people (and 10,000 fans) watched frampton win on Saturday with an undercard of up and coming fighters or fighters who werent from the UK. Quigg could never do this without a huge undercard. It has to be 60/40
