  • Comments Thread For: Stiverne Warns: Wilder Should Stay Away From Klitschko

Former heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (24-2-1, 21KOs) tells BoxingScene.com that newly crowned WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs) should stay away from facing WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko.

Last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Wilder won a twelve round unanimous decision over Stiverne to capture the WBC crown.

Then earn a rematch with Wilder and prove it. Until then it is merely speculation, and we've already got enough of that in boxing.

I am very disappointed in Stiverne. I thought he had more class than this. He was dominated and lost just about every round. Wilder is the better fighter and he gives him no credit. Hopefully they do rematch at some point so Deontay can knock him out

Nobody likes an excuse maker...especially a so-called Heavyweight Champion who admits he would avoid a challenge he deemed too big. Goodbye Laverne. Hopw you enjoy being Don Kings chauffeur for $500 a week next year.

It doesn't look like he was so much dehydrated going into the fight. When you take hard punches to your body, it can break down muscle tissue releasing alot of protein into your blood which your kidneys have to deal with. If you get too much protein going through your kidneys it's a problem and they require more water to deal with it - thus the dehydration. It sounds like they're trying to save face claiming he was dehydrated going in.

It's normal for your urine to turn dark after hard sparring, but taking bombs from Wilder for 12 rounds is like being in a meat tenderizer.
