MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Newly crowned WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder controlled the distance, landing an average of 10 of 35 jabs per round. Heayweight avg. for jabs is 6 of 20 per round. Wilder also landed 53% of his power shots (9 of 17 per round) and avg'd 52 punches thrown per round. Where was Bermane Stiverne's urgency? The defending champ landed just 9 of 27 punches per round and threw more than 35 punches in a round once - the last round. Too little, too late.
