  • Comments Thread For: Ruiz vs. Liakhovich Early Results From Phoenix

Alex Zuzueta (4-0, 3KOs) was forced to go the distance for the first time in his career, but was unfazed in decisioning debutant Juan Carlos Diaz over four rounds. The local flyweight prospect has fought exclusively at this venue for each of his first four bouts in the pro ranks.

Trevor McCumby continues to develop as a crowd favorite at Celebrity Theatre. The 22-year old rising prospect from nearby Glendale picked up his third straight win at the venue, stopping Milton Nuņez in the 6th and final round of the evening's curtain raiser. McCumby (18-0, 14KOs) scored body shot knockdowns in rounds three and four before forcing Nuņez (28-12-1, 25KOs) into submission in round six.

Until he loses about 20 lbs, Andy Ruiz remains a joke.

Finally his bad shape had an effect. Hopefully he agrees and gets down to 230 lbs. It will get tough for him anyway, not sure if he could be Champion-material.

It's his job getting in shape if he calls himself a pro. He is obviously not interested in becoming champion, just paychecks for more unhealthy diets.

Boxings Ned Beatty of Deliverance fame, impossible to take serious.guy truly is a porky pig, won't be long before somebody stretches his stink hole too.

He came down from over 300lbs to 250, yet now is 267 ! Wtf,he was doing well.guy aint ever gonna be a contender.no surprises he is ranked by the WBC though huh.

He looked poor versus Hamor before that strange ending.his dedication has clearly slipped,he hasn't even got through Christmas yet either.

He must be training at the nearest taco stand with Arreola at an undisclosed location somewhere in Southern California.

                    20 lbs?

                    More like 50 lbs.

I'm shocked that he was even able to go 12 rounds.
