Two former world champions Denver Cuello and Sonny Boy Jaro will see action in a fight card at the Angono, Rizal Sports Complex on Sunday.
Promoter Aljoe Jaro told the Manila Standard/Viva Sports that Cuello, the hard-hitting southpaw with a record of 34-5-6 with 22 knockouts and is ranked No. 4 in the world will face Indonesia’s Sammy Hagler in a “tune-up fight” in preparation for a possible world title shot which Aljoe Jaro will discuss with WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman during the premier boxing organization’s 52nd Annual Convention in Las Vegas from December 14-20.
