The respective promoters for Jhonny Gonzalez (Promociones del Pueblo) and Jorge Arce (Zanfer Promotions) are trying to work out various issues in order to finalize a September 20th showdown in Los Mochis, Sinaloa.

For months, Arce has demanded a shot at Gonzalez' WBC featherweight championship. The biggest issue at hand are the television networks. Gonzalez fights on Televisa and Arce is aligned with network rival TV Azteca.

There was some positive movement, where a deal was being worked out which allowed both networks to showcase the contest.

The featherweight division is loaded with possible big fights and jhonny gonna roll out arce .. I don't mind arce getting tv time because he is always fun to watch but he shouldn't be in any big fights..
