IBF junior welterweight champion Lamont Peterson (32-2-1, 16KOs) prepares for a defense of his title in a Showtime televised fight against Edgar Santana (29-4, 20KOs). The fight will be part of a tripleheader on August 9th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The main event will feature WBA/WBC junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia in a non-title ten round fight against Rod Salka.

If Peterson and Garcia win their fights, then the two of them will get matched against each other in the final quarter of the year.

I dont see the point in fighting bums to fight each other. Complete bs. Im puertorican but im rooting for salka on this. Fighters DO get a say so in who they face. Al haymon is an ADVISER. If he is actually doing the match making, that is illegal and he should be tried and jailed.
