  • Comments Thread For: Caparello: My Fight Won't End Like Golovkin-Geale

A couple of nights ago Australian light heavyweight boxer Blake Caparello was flicking through the TV channels in his Atlantic City hotel suite when he came across Rocky IV.

It's the movie when Rocky "The Italian Stallion" Balboa takes on Soviet Union giant Ivan Drago.

Caparello, a 27-year-old former carpenter from Melbourne who is also proud of his Italian heritage, laughed when he saw the classic 1985 film starring Sylvester Stallone.

"I was like, 'It's meant to be'," Caparello told AAP on Wednesday.

Caparello does have some skills. He's a tricky southpaw and has a few slick defensive moves. One of his flaws is his right hand...he keeps it low at all times. That's begging for a Kovalev left hook.

I give him a few rounds before he starts to feel the pain. Kovalev by 5th round TKO.
