  • Comments Thread For: Arthur Abraham-Nikola Sjekloca Early Germany Action

In a blitzkrieg, Germany-based Albanian Timo Schwarzkopf (14-0, 8KOs), originally Festim Kryeziu, used just 167 seconds to stop badly overmatched Georgian opponent Anzor Gamgebeli (17-6-3, 6 KOs) with a multi-punch combination in round one. The fight was one-sided from the opening bell, and Gamgebeli's only wish was to last as many rounds as he could, and he could little tonight.

Good for Ceylan to keep active and get a KO. Nice for him to know that his troubled hands can still deliver hard shots.

I hate German boxing I will never watch this **** never ! Taking on an opponent, who had only three weeks of training (on three weeks notice) and then they still rob him. Unbelievable ! Here in Germany the entire Channel pays Sauerland for Boxing matches but Sauerland can choose the opponent and everything else in their favor and the whole Tv Channel is behind every Sauerland fighter its is bias at its best. If Abraham lands a jab they will show it at least three times even if Abraham lost the round pretty clearly. Disgusting !

Sjekloca was doing well early but slowed down considerably in the later rounds.

              AA rematch x3 w/Steiglitz

He got exposure before then, when he was knocking guys out at 60 and was viewed as the most credible opponent to Pavlik.

The guy is not garbage. The fact he's not a A+ fighter doesn't make him garbage.

Sjekloca slowed down towards the end of the fight, but he built a comfortable lead in the early parts of the fight.

The fact that one judge gave Abraham 11 rounds is an absolute joke. Abraham was constantly backing himself into the corner and on the ropes, he fought in spurts. He took the first two minutes of every round off, and then tried to put together flashy combinations at the end, btw all his combinations hit Sjekloca's arms. It was a joke of a performance. The scoring was equally bad.

The only interesting about Abraham was his punching power and now when the power is gone he's officially one of the most boring boxers on the planet.
