    NEW YORK CITY - Undefeated World Boxing Organization (WBO) middleweight champion of the World, Peter "Kid Chocolate" Quillin, is fighting for respect this Saturday night on SHOWTIME against No. 2 ranked Czech challenger Lukas Konecny (50-4, 23 KOs).

    Quillin vs. Konecny is part of a Golden Boy Promotions event, sponsored by Corona and AT&T, and headlined by the world light heavyweight unification fight between IBF champion Bernard "The Alien" Hopkins and WBA title-holder Beibut Shumenov. The live SHOWTIME tripleheader telecast will begin at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast) and be available in Spanish via secondary audio programming (SAP).

            Of all the casualties of the Cold War, I would say Quillin is the biggest. Because the two best middleweights are on HBO, and they're going to stay there because they're bigger than him and make more than him.

            So Quillin can't be resigning with Haymon/Showtime when his contract is up and then start calling out HBO fighters... Either stay at Showtime and fight whoever is there, or don't resign when your contract is up.

                True, he's missing out on those two big fights... but the MW division is open season with people from foreign promoters and people not tied to TR/HBO.

                GBP has better options available than what he's been fighting, they're just not utilizing it.

                If David Lemuix is next.....actually, thought about it... he's probably next. Lemuix is fighting a common opponent.
