  • Comments Thread For: Chemito Moreno-Stuart Hall Unification in Play For June

According to the wife and manager of World Boxing Association (WBA) bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (35-2-1, 12KOs) of Panama, there are serious discussions to have a unification with International Boxing Federation (IBF) champion Stuart Hall (16-2-2, 7KOs) on June 6th in London, England.

Rouss Laguna Moreno says she is currently discussing the final details of the agreement with Asif Vali, who is working on behalf of Hall. According to Laguna, the WBA has already approved Chemito to go forward with this important unification encounter.

Can't see Stuy keeping the belt much longer if this is the case.

Cool. I like it. A unification. Hopefully Moreno can get a bigger name if he wins.

If this is true then Dennis Hobson is the biggest ****** in boxing. There's a perfect opportunity for Hall to fight Jamie McDonnell (a much lesser talent than Moreno) on the Froch-Groves undercard for probably more money and substantially more exposure, but Hobson won't do it because he's a bitter, jealous old bastard.

Moreno needs to be on US television. He is fun to watch.

Agree with you about the bitter, jealous old bastard thing, but Hall only has two choices: unify with one of the belts, which means any of Yamanaka, Moreno, or Tomoki Kameda, or fight his July mandatory (winner of Randy Caballero-Kohei Oba). The mandatory is NO exposure at all compared to a unification, and there's no time to squeeze in a McDonnell fight before then, and certainly not on Froch-Groves.

And Hall will get spanked by Moreno. The judges will give him a couple of rounds "because he's trying really hard" though. And if Jim Watt has the audacity to criticise ANYTHING Moreno does, I shall be making a trip to Scotland to insert a large garden gnome in his ass.

                  Funny Sig

And yea... if he's going for the challenge, good on him.

But there's a bigger fight with Jaime, but always good to see unification

This would be a pretty easy unification fight for Moreno. An elite fighter against a fighter with a belt around his waist who is unfortunately not actually world class.
