  • Comments Thread For: Froch Hopes For Vegas Fight Before Retirement

British boxing fans provided 60,000 reasons this week why promoters were right in setting the May rematch between Carl Froch and George Groves at Wembley Stadium.

The first batch of tickets sold out in under an hour, suggesting the attendance will comfortably exceed the existing post-War record of 55,000 for Ricky Hatton's homecoming against Juan Lazcano in Manchester in 2008.

Froch is boxing in the toughest era of supermiddleweight ever and he got an ATG resume against good boxers like Kessler, Pascal, Bute, Abraham, Taylor, etc. If Froch beats Groves in the rematch it will not only be a very good win, but he should certainly fight in Vegas once before retiring.

Who can Froch fight in Vegas? Ward doesn't fight in Vegas and there aren't any other top American super middleweights that Froch can face in Vegas. Maybe he can fight Bernard Hopkins in Vegas at light heavyweight? That wouldn't be a bad fight to go out on win or lose since Hopkins is a legend.

Not sure what you mean. Ward has mentioned in the past that he wants a ppv fight in Las Vegas.

I doubt Ward would fight Froch again, big risk and lower reward this time around. Ward doesn't attract fans either.

There's nothing to doubt. He has expressed interest in a rematch with Froch and has even suggested that it take place in Vegas.
