  • Comments Thread For: Brandon Rios: I Want The Provodnikov Fight To Happen

2013 may not have played out the way Brandon Rios expected, but the former lightweight titlist is still relatively upbeat as the New Year pushes forward.

Catching up with Rios inside of the Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard, Calif. on Wednesday afternoon before his training session with assistant Donald Leary, Rios took a moment to reflect back to his last ring appearance, a unanimous decision loss to Manny Pacquiao this past November in Macau, China.

Wow, ban ban is back to attack. There's nothing cool about taking punishment. And there's nothing cool with drinking arizas shakes every morning.

Damn! Hope Provo Happens Too! Easy KO Win For Provo!

Rios is an idiot if he wants to go up and stand toe to toe with Provo. Provo will beat him down like a heavy bag! Provo is no Alvarado, AND hits harder than Pacquiao...ask a natural 147 Tim Bradley. A Rios-Provo fight ruins Rios. Better think twice.

Call me crazy. But Rios can win this. Brandon is more durable than Mike. And Provo is not going bewilder Rios with speed and 8 punch combos ala Pac. It's going to be toe-toe just like Rios wants.
