Kell Brook, the undefeated Sheffield puncher who many regard as the next 'big thing' in British boxing, takes his next step towards world domination this weekend when he meets decent American Carson Jones at the Motorpoint Arena.

The bill has been dubbed 'Edge of Glory' and that title is an apt one for Brook, who is just a fight away now from fulfilling his dream of boxing for a genuine world title.

The IBF International strap is at stake in Sheffield, where Brook will again be roared on by a vociferous and knowledgeable Yorkshire crowd.

If Kell Brook can get past Carson Jones and Amir Khan can get past Danny Garcia in the following week, then an all UK Matchup would be the best choice for both. I know Brook has wanted to tangle with Khan for awhile and it makes more sense for them to get it on to see who will get a chance against Timmy Bradley or Josesito Lopez. Khan has stated he wants to move up to Welter after he "Destroys" Garcia and with Khans big name and Brooks ranking, it could be an eliminator match. Pretty sure Khan will not want to fight Brook next if both win, but it would be a Hell of a payday for both men and a Big UK showdown. I dont really care for UK fighters with the exception of Froch and Fury but i have to admit that i would be very intrigued by a Brook V Khan matchup. And i know Tyson Fury is not a well liked name over there, so i will also mention David Price, so no one from the UK whines about my choices.

Whilst I am not claiming Jones will win, I do think the odds on him are worth a punt.

Paddy Power will give you 17/2 on Carson winning by stoppage. A tenner gets you 85 quid. Or you could bet a quid on him to win by stoppage in each round & you'll get between 50/1 up to 75/1. £12 total outlay gets you up to £63 profit.

I think the bookies are getting only bets on Brook & people are looking at Jones's past record without taking into account his recent form.

Again, I'm not saying he will win. I am saying the odds are generous. If a casino gave you 50/1 odds on Roulette 16 Red, I would bet on it. Not because I think it will come in but the physical odds are 37/1 (38 in the US) so 50/1 represents a higher percentage than true odds.
