to be fair hopkins said he wanted the winner of pascal dawson and pascal won. he obviously did fight dawson so he gets credit.

Hopkins should have fought Dawson in 2009 when everyone wanted the fight and the outcome was still in question. But at least it finally happened.

but before (2-3 years ago)
he would always say he wasn't fighting the young guys (like dawson)

maybe that was a mistake fighting jones but I think hopkins always wanted a revenge fight with jones and he probably figured it would be more money (which it ended up doing very poorly). You have to remember dawsons ratings were pretty bad and hopkins is usually going to go with who he thinks will be more money, but again, probably a mistake on his part as the jones fight meant nothing.

What is up with ducking talk? Nobody was forcing Hopkins' hand. At 47 years old, with his resume, Bernard had nothing to prove. He fought Dawson (twice) because HE wanted it. You could have called him a ducker if he never fought Dawson, but it's happened twice already, so wtf??
