  • Comments Thread For: Nacho Impressed, Says Roman Gonzalez is a Future Star

73-year-old Hall-of-Fame trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain is very impressed with WBA junior flyweight Román “Chocolatito“ González (30-0, 25 KOs) of Nicaragua. Nacho says Gonzalez will become a future star in the sport and he doesn't see any boxer, including those in Mexico, who can beat him at junior flyweight.

The weight will hurt his stardom. But, Chocolatito is a damn good fighter. He does need to step up his level of comp though. But, I think he is a tremendous fighter.

Maybe Nacho has an interest in training him. Maybe one day...

I certainly agree with Nacho. Chocolatito has great skills and power and should be able to be at the top of the division for a very long time.

He is without a doubt a very good fighter. I've been watching him for about three or four years now and I've enjoyed the progress he has made. He has very good offensive technique and very good power. We'll see how far he foes.

I see what Nacho see's I been watching this guy fight for a while now. The guy needs a promoter. Having him fight on PPV undercards would be good for him like Calderon use to. The guy fights pretty damn good.
