After all the trash talking and youth ends, the wisdom and respect for each other will eventually peak for two rival fighters. When its all said and done, it will happen to every rivalry.

Joe said some very very evil things about Ali last yr regarding his condition...Joe BRAGS about being the guy who gave Ali the condition he has, and he takes every chance he gets to laugh at Ali ..Joe has never forgiven Ali for the trash talk he has done in the past, but Ali did good by putting out these comments

Classy words and gesture by Ali.

Most rivalries end with grudging respect that often turns into friendship. But there are exceptions. Im sure there are plenty of other examples but the Basilio-Robinson rivalry stands out to me. Basilio to this day cannot stand the person Robinson was. He acknowledges his skill and greatness, but as a person he hated him.
