  • Comments Thread For: Chris Arreola Added To Williams-Lara Undercard, 7/9

In a continued run of activity, heavyweight contender Chris Arreola (32-2, 28KOs), now slimmer and trimmer, will return on the Paul Williams vs. Erislandy Lara undercard, which takes place on July 9th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atantic City. Arreola, now rededicated and focused on his trade, will have his fourth fight of the year. He fought on January 28, May 14 and May 27, with knockout wins over Joey Abell, Nagy Aguilera, and Kendrick Releford.

Putting in some work, maybe if he beats someone decent he could fight Wlad after he demolishes Haye. Wlad will have no one better to fight since I doubt Povetkin is interested in taking his shot.

Nice to see him active.maybe people here don't realize that after a a couple losses to top guys including a title.you got to climb the latter again beating journeyman to get that confidence back.sometimes a guy needs to fight 6 or 7 jm to be really ready to take a run.it takes 1-2 years of activity to get another shot unless you put buts in the seats.like golota use to do.

Good to hear that Arreola's getting back into the ring shortly after his last fight. I think that his activitiy is really benefical and will help him develop into a better fighter and get him back into contension for a title shot..

                  Hats off to this man.

So many Klitschko opponents collect their check and sit on the shelf for a year if they ever come back at all. Since losing to Adamek a year ago, he's fought four times. How many fighters that have collected a ton of HBO checks but come up short at their title shot have worked this hard to come back? He came in at 236 in his last fight. Get this dude down to 220 and he could be a force.

It's not something we see a lot these days, in American fighters at least. Respect.

That is a great undercard. Arreola is going to score another k.o. on his record.
