  • Comments Thread For: Michael Katsidis Seriously Ponders Graham Earl Rematch

According to the AAP, Michael Katsidis will decide over the next few days whether to accept a rematch with British boxer Graham Earl. Katsidis stopped Earl in a five-round war in London, widely regarded as the best fight of 2007, during which both boxers were floored. Katsidis is determined to return in the fall in Australia. Earl, who hasn't fought for almost two years, has called for a rematch.

Katsidis needs to "seriously ponder" retirement. He has fallen at every big fight in his career and taken a beating like no other while he was at it. His brains must be smashed up man, the dudes needs to quit while he can still put a sentence together.

Katsidis hasn't been put on Earth to put a sentence together. Katsidis 'The Great' is put on Earth to fight, fight and fight. Katsidis never failed to entertain me. He has a heart and mindset of a warrior which is very rare these days.

And I respect that.. but the same fans who love to watch him fight and take beatings like hell won't be around when he ends up with brain damage.

Katsidis is a warrior, without doubt. But the fans need to recognise the punishments he takes. The fact that he wants to go back towards Earl shows the "big" fights won't be coming anymore.

People like you take this "that and that fighter needs to retire" **** to far. No Katsidis does not need to retire.

JMM and Guerrero are the two best lightweights in the world. Until he starts loosing against journeyman he is safe to continue.

                    People like me? lol

Okay. We'll see his next few fights. Take note of who they are and how much damage they cause him. Fans like yourself are selfish in wanting to see the "good fights" but have no care for what beatings are doing to these fighters.

JMM and Guerrero are not the only fighters to give Katsidis beatings. Even in many of his victories he has taken alot of punches. All being negative for his brain no doubt. But never mind, let him carry on.
