  • Comments Thread For: Adamek-McBride Venue Decision Coming Down Soon

Tomorrow a decision will come down with respect to the venue, and location, of Tomasz Adamek's next fight, scheduled to take place against the 6'6 Kevin McBride (35-8-1, 29 KOs). BoxingScene.com/Bokser.org was advised that SMG Poland asked for additional time, until Friday February 4, to put something together for holding the event in Katowice. Tomasz Adamek (43-1, 28 KOs), together with his promoters, agreed to such a solution.

I don't see any point in Adamek fighting him, he's massively overweight and so slow (assuming he's in similar condition to the prizefighter). Pointless fight, even for a keep busy fight.

The point is that he is a name due to his Tyson escapade, he is tall in the Vlad fashion and poses no threat.
It is as equal as Pac/Shane except Manny get's paid for just being Manny.
Most other pugs have to work for it.

If the decision was to have it in Kevin's Backyard, with his dad as the Ref, it would still end in a KO in Adamek's favor.

The guy's been stopped twice since the Tyson fight (once to Golota) and then went on a 3 year Vacation after it.

He's 1-2 since coming back, with his old win coming by Split Decision, against a guy that was 3-3 in his last 6 fights before Mcbride, and coming off a loss.

And his last 2 fights have been 3 rounders.

But at least the next fight is against a Klitschko.
