Great fighter but can’t get past how much of a sellout he is to his totalitarian government. This guy will do ring walks wearing pro-government party shirts that hate the US meanwhile he fights and made a living in the US. Insane how being a socialist and living a life of contradictions come hand in hand

And? It is his country and he can do whatever he wants. Same thing with people hanging flags all over the place in the middle of NC / Do they think we think they are from Mars or something?

So ungrateful. I don’t support him anymore. He can stay and fight there
I hope that it's going to be televised in the U.S. as well. Nineteen months for an older little guy is a long time. Anyone know why he was M.I.A. for so long ?
Unless he is committing something unethical, it doesn't matter if I disagree with his views and political standing, Roman Gonzalez was a fantastic fighter.
He held the mantle as one of P4P best fighters in the lighter divisions before Naoya Inoue. Held titles from minimumweight up to outside his comfort zone at super flyweight. The guy is around the same size as Sunny Edwards at 5'3" and still out of his 51 wins, he has 41 knockouts.
He is near his retirement, but there isn't going to be anyone like Chocolatito.
A once great fighter who I wonder has anything left to even be good. This fight can only show if he is bad. A convincing win can get him a decent money fight based on his name alone if that is what he wants. But a lackluster effort may tip he is just cashing in on his name for a check or farewell set of fights. Which, by the way, he has earned.
