There is one good reason why Tim's team didn't stop the fight. They figured Fundora was in worse shape.

Tszyu got screwed--he would have KOd Fundora without the cut. He will come back but this was not good for boxing. They needed to stop the fight and reschedule it. Boxing has a lot of screwballs in charge--incompetents. It's like the US political system.

Exercise your rematch clause. Put elbow pads on SF. Belt or no belt: revenge your L...

Absolutely... Tim Tszyu's corner should have withdrawn from the fight but they were counting on the blind guy covering up their recklessness. There was no concern for Tim, it was a reckless gamble. Frankly, if a fighter was ever going to switch corner-men, now would certainly be justified. As for Tim's future...Charlo avoided Tim and now, because of the corners recklessness, nobody else will fight him until they see he's beatable because counting on a cut isn't a strategy. As for Spence....I agree it could be a good fight IF Errol has anything left because Fundora is certainly beatable.

Spence vs Fundora is attractive because Errol has a chance to beat Fundora and a much, much lessor chance at beating the all around better fighter in Terrance Crawford. Fundora vs Spence is a #2 vs a "maybe still" #2 but best in class it's not, and belts or not it never will be.

Nobody is going to fight Tim unless he makes a long term back room deal and still there is no guarantee.

First who are "they" that should have stopped the fight and rescheduled it ? The doctor ? The corner men ? Maybe even Kostya's son himself ? Boxing does have some rules from what i have noticed, they do have some checks and ballences if i view it right, now the biggest ballance is that ledger that says "PROFIT" sometimes bordering of greed. That said they did not get anyone killed, some do not like that their fighter lost the fight but loose he did. The ink the stories, the time spent repeating the names invovled in this fight have paid for his and Funboys fight future as if boxing has set it up. No disrespect but come on man.......Fundora got his scalp on Saturday night fair and square it is time to move on to the next bout. no one ever knows what might have happened in a fight "if" this had happened or that had not happened it is the beauty of boxing in a ugly sweet kind of way.....enjoy......

I disagree, they never said Wilder was a coward after Breland

I understand the opinions so far in the thread but Had his corner done this, a reasonable strategy, Tim would look extremely weak imo.

Yeah, he’d have the belt, but he got so much more than that by continuing to fight.

Tim endeared himself to fans by showing tremendous heart, gave fans a memorable fight, elevating himself despite the loss, elevating Fondura, thus increasing the value of the rematch, possibly setting up a legit trilogy and bringing attention to 154 that has been an afterthought since JMW Charlo embarrassing fake attempt at fighting against Canelo.

Added to that, his potential fights with Charlo and Crawford will be bigger.
